I gave a talk titled “Brand Experience Design: Bridging the Gap Between Brand and Product” at UX+ 2025, Asia’s largest UX event, held on September 14, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, Philippines.

The talk explored how what a brand says and what a product does are often misaligned, which leads to user experiences that feel disjointed, forgettable, or off-brand. Designers are frequently caught in the middle, trying to connect identity and functionality without a clear roadmap or shared language across teams.

I introduced Brand Experience Design, an approach that combines the emotional clarity of brand with the usability and systems thinking of product design. Drawing from over a decade of work at Microsoft, Robinhood, Lyft, Twitch, and Dropbox, I shared how to recognize opportunities for brand experiences inside a product, how to design them with intention, and how to collaborate across disciplines to ship them successfully. Attendees left with practical tools, real-world examples, and a framework for building more expressive, cohesive, and memorable product experiences.
